If you are a Robokids student, then you can access Coursera's more than 3800 courses for free!
To be a Robokids student, you need to signup with Robokids first for which there's a monthly subscription fee of $9.99. Against this fee, besides getting free access to Coursera, you also qualify for 1 hour of online 1-1 coaching by a Robokids coach over 30 days (from the date of payment) in any one of the subjects that we offer. The schedule of the class has to be mutually agreed.
Yes, if you want to access Coursera's courses for free as a Robokids student. Coursera has offered this Free access for enrollments on their platform until 30th September 2020 (which you must do in addition to and separately from subscribing with Robokids), and you must finish your course/s within 2 months of enrollment. After that, you may continue to enroll and study at Coursera but this offer will not be available. Of course, your relationship with Robokids is a separate matter and there is no limit on how long and for how many hours you hire our tutors for the regular fee of $20/hour.
According to Coursera website: "The sign up deadline has been extended! After you sign up, you have until September 30, 2020, to enroll in any of the included 3,800 courses, Guided Projects, Specializations, and Professional Certificates. For any course you enroll in on or before September 30, 2020, you will continue to have free access for at least two months from the date of enrollment to complete them. After your free access concludes, you have three options for continuing your coursework: 1) pay to enroll, 2) apply for financial aid, or 3) audit the course for free."
$9.99 per hour represents 50% discount over our normal online 1-1 coaching rate of $20/hour. If you have received a discount code from us, you may be able to get a further reduction in the price if you apply the code at checkout.
Not necessarily, but yes if you want to maintain your status as a Robokids student. Remember, every month you renew your registration with Robokids with $9.99, you're getting an hour of 1-1 online coaching with an expert Robokids coach. Of course you can hire our tutor for longer duration as well if you want. By maintaining your status as a Robokids student, you will also be able to continue your free access of Coursera every month, until 30th September 2020.
